<body><a href="../index.html">HOME</a><br><table summary="296"><tr><td class="etesti">296</td><td class="edate">August 16<sup>th</sup>or later, 1945.</td><td class="eage">Radiation injury was the great majority.</td></tr><tr><td class="ei_midasi" colspan=3>28 years old at that time</td></tr></table><div class="large"><p>As a medical doctor, I treated the victims of the atomic bomb.  Even the normal ones started to loose their hair.  Then blood spots and purple spots caused by internal bleeding started to show up on their skin.  Once these symptoms were reported, tumor grew in their mouths and gums started to bleed too.  Having these bleeding diathesis, patients' fever gradually got higher and higher.</p><br><p>Even in an original state, there is a disease called granular cell reducing symptom.  It is disease that the bone marrow causes a functional disorder and affects the blood in the extreme.</p><br><p>Hence, the victims were suffering from both, the external injuries and the internal functional disorder, but above all, it was the radiation injury that covered the great majority.  They went one by one.  I felt depressed as a doctor.  At the same time, I felt the difficulty in treating the atomic bomb injury.</p></div></body>
