<body><a href="../index.html">HOME</a><br><table summary="263"><tr><td class="etesti">263</td><td class="edate">Around August 13<sup>th</sup>, 1945.</td><td class="eage">19 years old at that time</td></tr><tr><td class="ei_midasi" colspan=3>I pulled out encephalon and intestine from body with the help of a Tobi tool.</td></tr></table><table summary="haikei"><tr><td class="bg" background="../../photo/img302.jpg"><div class="large"><p>I alone had to cremate my dead friend.  Since he died about ten a.m., I started to cremate him around noon.  Using a shutter board and a two-wheeled cart, I carried the body to a cremating place.  On the ground, there was a sign which had cremated somebody before.  I put big woods on a pit of the ground and cremated the body on them.</p><br><p>It took time to cremate his body.  So, considering to make it faster, pulling out encephalon and intestine from the body with the help of a <i>Tobi</i> tool (fire hook), I burned them.  I certainly was in an abnormal psychological situation.</p><br><p>It took four to five hours to cremate the corpse.  I did not know how to do next.  I asked a person aside.  He taught me, "Pour water on it.  Wood ashes turn black and bones appear in white."</p><br><p>There was no means to contact to his family.  There was no urn.  What could I do then?</p></div></td></tr></table></body>
