There were dead people rolling over and over around there. I was going down a hill among the dead people. I said, "Shall we stop going down this way? The American military are coming and I would just feel so sorry if someone gets injured." My uncle said, "We've come all the way here so we must find your husband." "But I would feel so guilty if you get injured. I don't think my husband is alive under these circumstances."
However all of my relatives said, "We must find him," and they took me with them so I went down the road of Urakami Cathedral. The road had heated up from the residual heat when I passed through there. I was walking lifting my feet. While I was passing through, there were dead people rolling over and over.
There was a person who was almost crushed under the tree. But no one had helped the person. I wished I could have helped that person, but no one could have lifted that big tree.
When I was passing over the Matsuyama Bridge, I looked down into the river. There were dead people in the river so I couldn't see below the surface of the water. There were a lot of dead people who were swollen and floating. Just as I crossed over the bridge, a woman fell down. An unborn baby was protruding from the side of her belly, from here (showing the interviewee's belly). The woman had fallen over and had burst.
Although I saw that scene, I didn't cry.
