We headed to the plaza in front of Nagasaki station. Thousands of parents were there looking for their children. Back in time, at the north of Nagasaki station called Kita no Ura district, there were middle and high schools; Keiho middle, Chinzei middle, Nagasaki Commercial High, Nagasaki Technical High, and Junshin Girl's High. Additionally, many students from the Nagasaki city were mobilized as labor force for Mitsubishi factories in the area.
Since it was prohibited to step in the north of the station, the parents were crying and moaning at the plaza. They were looking for their own child among the sufferers who evacuated from the north. Since we were the same age as their children, they jumped over us, when they saw us, calling out their children's names.
The parents were also burned, bleeding and naked. They looked as if they were mad as they screamed their children's names.
So many dead bodies were lying at the plaza. Parents swarmed all over, kicking and stomping over them.
When they saw children about the age of their own, they swarmed about them and kept crying out their children's name.
