I had never seen such cruel burns before. About 1cm-thick skins of people were peeled off, and the red flesh and running blood vessels of the injured literally could be seen with you eyes.
Some were burnt only on the right side of their bodies and others were burnt on the front or on the back of their bodies. It depended on how they were in postures at the moment the heat ray following the bombing attacked them.
They were waiting for the medical treatments. Doctors did not how to treat them. What they could do was only applying mercurochrome to the burns. It was the time that even cottons were not available. The wounds were oozing with awful smell.
There were not only five or ten injured. I would say there were hundreds of people filled the school playground. I cannot describe this scene with words.
