In the mean time a fire developed. Since the flames began to blaze up everywhere, we hurried to rescue the heavily wounded patients. But the situation became so dangerous that we decided to give up on the rescue and took survivors among patients towards the hill behind the hospital. It rained for a while then. We also carried heavily wounded up there as many as we could.
The road from the hospital to Anakobo Temple was a steep slope. There were people who barely reached the temple, and people who were heavily wounded we carried on the slope. They were all groaning. Some of them breathed their last up there.
As the fire came closer, it became hotter. To avoid the heat, we further climbed up the hill. I saw that the hospital was blazing and the class rooms of basic medical science were already shrouded in red flames. I despaired so much that I felt this must be the end of the world.
