<body><a href="../index.html">HOME</a><br><table summary="166"><tr><td class="etesti">166</td><td class="edate">August 9<sup>th</sup>, 1945.  First 30 minutes after the explosion</td><td class="eage">19 years old at that time</td></tr><tr><td class="ei_midasi" colspan=3>Namu Taishi Henjou Kongou (One of Buddhist prayers)</td></tr></table><table summary="haikei"><tr><td class="bg" background="../../photo/img437.jpg"><div class="large"><p>I escaped for my life from the Mitsubishi armory.  It was the yellowish or blackish world outside.  I could not distinguish if it's daytime or night.  The whole sky was darkish or yellowish.  There was no light.  The view was not like the world we knew.</p><br><p>Those people who were evacuating were all cruel to see.  A girl who was running in front of me suddenly fell into the rice field.  She raised once but fell down again after walking a few steps.  I rushed to her, and shook her body.  I said to her,</p><p> "Hang in there.  I call a nurse for you."</p><br><p>She said,</p><p> "Mother,"</p><p>And then she made the Buddhist prayers "Namu Taishi Henjou Kongou" two times.</p></div></td></tr></table></body>
