The Nagasaki branch office of The Nishi-Nippon Newspaper, where I used to work as a bureau chief, had just moved. The office was on the main street. On the morning of August 9th, the signboard painter came to paint the sign. It said in gold, "The Nagasaki branch office of The Nishi-Nippon Newspaper" on the window facing the street. Mr.Yoshimura, the cameraman jokingly said,
"Chief, do you think that the sign could be still here by the autumn?"
I laughed and said,
"Don't say that, you will bring a bad luck."
