I led the party of soldiers, singing a military song, into the burned-out ruins in Hiroshima city. As far as the eye could see Hiroshima city was nothing but burned to burned-down ruins. I wondered it could be burned that much.
There were many bodies and they were all naked. We kept on walking. And then we saw a baby crawled out of a burnt and swollen woman's body. The baby couldn't walk by himself yet. Then the baby began sucking his dead mother's breast. We couldn't help crying at the sight. We couldn't even keep singing.
We arrived at Hijiyama. To my surprise, trees were bearing people. Some pieces of humans' body were blown up by the bomb blast and were hanging on up side down from the branches.
