<body><a href="../index.html">HOME</a><br><table summary="064"><tr><td class="etesti">064</td><td class="edate">I was on a riverbank on August 6<sup>th</sup>, 1945</td><td class="eage">30 years old at that time</td></tr><tr><td class="ei_midasi" colspan=3>Flames shot up into the sky like the Niagara Falls inverted.</td></tr></table><div class="largep"><p>There was a horrible sound and flames were swirling.  I really thought that it was Hiroshima's agonising death cry.</p><br><p>Then I heard sounds like the rolls of thunder.  It was the sounds of bombs exploding in the distance.  People who were on the riverbank were not in a normal state of mind at that time.  Everyone was shouting, "Air-raid alert!"</p><br><p>They were deranged.  I felt sick.  People soiled themselves.  They didn't worry about their appearances.  There were many people whose lower parts of their bodies were naked.</p></div></body>
