Men and women were stark naked. It was August, the hottest season of the year, so people were very lightly clothed. When they were exposed to the heat rays, their clothes were instantly burned or melted away to leave them completely stripped. Everyone had almost no hair so that you could hardly tell men from women. I saw thousands of naked people wandering about. There were victims whose eyeballs protruded and dangled about their cheeks at the end of bloody jelly like substances hanging from their eye sockets. I saw quite a few such grotesque-looking people.
Everyone had severe burns and blisters all over. As they walked along, those blisters were broken and their skin came off to dangle from their bodies. The dangling skin soon blackened. The raw open wounds on their bodies, on the other hand, looked greasy, kind of reddish or brownish. They were too tragic to look at. Yet, they were walking on their own. Even those who were able to walk were so terribly injured. Can you imagine how bad the sufferings were of those who were unable to walk at all?
